Domino - Veterinary Assistant & Patient Care Coordinator

Domino

I’ve worked in veterinary medicine on and off since 2021.

I’ve found that I’m especially drawn to surgery—I really enjoy being part of the team and helping patients through procedures and recovery. Anesthesia is another area I’m interested in, since it requires a lot of focus and care to keep patients safe and comfortable. I also really like radiology and the role it plays in figuring out what’s going on and guiding treatment. Overall, these experiences have helped me grow my skills and made me excited to keep learning more in these areas.

Outside of work, I love getting outdoors—especially hiking and going on long drives. I share a lot of those adventures with my black lab, Stevie, who’s always up for exploring and makes every trip more fun. Whether it’s a new trail or just a scenic drive, I really enjoy taking the time to slow down and enjoy the moment. Stevie definitely keeps life interesting and full of energy!

What I love most about veterinary medicine is that it’s always evolving, which keeps things interesting and challenging in the best way. There’s always something new to learn, whether it’s a technique, a treatment, or a different approach to patient care. It really pushes me to keep growing while doing something meaningful every day.

Fun fact about me: I have played the trumpet for 20 years.
