Urgent Care at All Paws Animal Hospital

At All Paws Animal Hospital, our urgent care services bridge the gap between routine wellness visits and emergency care. If your pet is experiencing an illness or injury that requires prompt, same-day medical attention—but is not life-threatening—we’re here to help during our regular business hours.

Urgent care is available by appointment or call-ahead.

When to Seek Urgent Care

If your pet is experiencing any of the following symptoms and needs prompt, same-day care, please call us right away.

  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Minor wounds or abscesses
  • Urinary changes (e.g., blood in urine, frequent urination)
  • Limping, swelling, or signs of pain
  • Loss of appetite or dehydration
  • Itchy skin, hives, or rashes
  • Eye redness, discharge, or tearing
  • Ear infections
  • Pale gums
  • Worms, fleas, ticks, or mites
  • Suspected ingestion of something toxic*
    • Please call
  • Having difficulty breathing
    • Please call and be triaged by one of our Technicians 
  • Coughing, sneezing, or nasal discharge
  • Not eating or drinking for more than 48 hours
    • Based on capacity – please call
  • Not sure it is an emergency?
    • Please call and be triaged by one of our Technicians
  • *If you think your pet has ingested something poisonous, please call Pet Poison Helpline immediately at 800-213-6680, After hours, contact the ASPCA Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435.

Emergency vs. Urgent Care

Not sure if it’s an emergency? Here’s a quick guide:

Urgent Care:

  • Stable condition
  • Needs prompt same-day care but not life-threatening
  • Can wait a short time with monitoring

Emergency Care (Go directly to a 24/7 emergency hospital):

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Severe trauma (e.g., hit by a car)
  • Repeated seizures
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Bloating or signs of GDV
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Choking
  • Paralysis or collapse
  • Trouble giving birth
