Although I am not a veterinarian or technician, I found a deep admiration for veterinary medicine in growing up on a cattle ranch and raising my own medically complicated pets. I have also worked closely with a few animal rescue groups since 2009 and have always had a soft spot for the overlooked cases that might need more medical care. I have such an admiration for the work our clinical staff do day in and day out – being a part of that is extremely rewarding and humbling. My career has been largely in human health care, most recently working as a leader at three of the largest area hospitals in the DMV on the east coast. I enjoy applying the knowledge from that experience to veterinary medicine – after all, pets are family too!

During my free time I enjoy gardening, baking, a variety of sports (go Texans!), and spending time with my family which includes my husband Jason, our son Austin, and our two Great Danes Siggi and Odin.
