Dr. Alex Coppinger, DVM

I was born and raised in Schenectady, New York where I grew up with a huge love for animals. I completed my undergraduate degree in biology at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. I then moved to Saint Paul in 2021 to attend the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating I joined the team at All Paws! I love the variety of veterinary medicine and getting to build long term relationships with clients and their pets.

I live in Saint Paul with my wonderful partner, Mike. We have two dogs: Kinzey, a Shepherd mix and Hank, a Great Dane. We also have a sassy cat named Bea. I love to be outside in my free time and enjoy running, camping, hiking and going to concerts and sporting events. My goal is to see every national park. So far, I’ve seen 14!

I’ve wanted to be a vet for as long as I can remember and my love for animals has continued to grow the more I get to work with them. I had the opportunity to meet the team at All Paws while on an externship during school and felt right at home. I knew it was a group with the same passion for helping animals and was somewhere I could grow and learn.

Fun Fact: I played field hockey in college. I’ve never played ice hockey before but I’m trying to learn how to skate!
